Wilder Claylands

We’re exploring how, together, we can create a Wilder Claylands over the next 25 years.

Helping nature recover right across a landscape takes everyone. It’s vital that we involve communities, businesses, landowners and decision-makers as we protect and restore wildlife in the South Norfolk Claylands. During our Claylands Wilder Connections project, we achieved some great outcomes for wildlife, learned a great deal and we have lots more ideas that we know will make an even bigger difference.

The People’s Plan for a Wilder Claylands

Over 500 people completed our on-line survey and to the nearly 100 people attended one of our drop-in sessions in 2025 to co-design a vision for the Claylands.

The next step

We will be meeting with partners in 2026 to discuss how to take this vision forward.

Together we’ll begin our journey to develop and deliver a five-year plan, which we will launch in 2026.
