Leave a gift in your Will
Help keep Norfolk wild and wonderful
Leaving a gift in your Will to Norfolk Wildlife Trust is a powerful way to protect Norfolk's wildlife and wild spaces for many years to come. Every penny Norfolk Wildlife Trust receives from gifts in Wills helps us care for wildlife and plan for the future of our nature reserves covering some 12,000 acres across the county.
If you have a passion for Norfolk’s wild and wonderful landscape, a gift in your Will could:
- Help to protect precious wildlife-rich areas across the county, including ancient woodland, our unique Broadland, saltmarsh and rare heathland
- Help create new nature reserves to make more space for nature
- Help inspire a love of nature by welcoming people into Norfolk’s special wild spaces to enjoy and learn about how to protect their natural environment
Once you have taken care of your loved ones, please consider including a gift to Norfolk Wildlife Trust in your Will. No matter how big or small, you can be sure it will have a lasting impact on the places and wildlife you love.
Anyone who cares about wildlife has a marvellous opportunity to do something unique, by remembering their Wildlife Trust in their Will. This generous act is one of the most important things you can do to make sure the species and habitats we love will be there for future generations to enjoy.

Legacy stories
Adrian and Tricia Gunson
An exciting new land purchase to expand our ancient NWT Foxley Wood was made possible thanks to several generous donors, including two significant legacies left to us by Graham Churchyard and Adrian Gunson. Tricia Gunson, Adrian Gunson’s widow and NWT Wildlife Guardian, said: ‘My husband Adrian and I have always loved Norfolk, and its rich and varied wildlife, so I was very happy to release Adrian's legacy to help with this purchase.’ Adrian’s legacy helped us to expand Foxley Wood by an amazing 100 acres – increasing its size by over a third and expanding public access to the site.
Jan and David Midlane
Jan and David have chosen to leave a legacy to Norfolk Wildlife Trust to help protect the natural environment for future generations. ‘We have gained so much from being able to enjoy nature and the outdoors. We hope that by leaving a legacy to NWT, we can help to preserve and increase the opportunities for everyone, regardless of income’, they explained. ‘We have confidence that Norfolk Wildlife Trust will do the right thing with our legacy. Their level of communication is second to none and the staff and volunteers we have met are incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about the environment and welcoming to all. It gives us great satisfaction to know we are helping to protect something we love’.
Steve and Trish Fuell
Trish and Steve have made a pledge to leave a gift to Norfolk Wildlife Trust in their will, as they know their gift will be used for the thing that gives them so much pleasure right now – keeping Norfolk wild. ‘We both agree that remembering NWT in our legacy is one of the best things we can do for nature in Norfolk’, they explained. Along with the haven for nature the couple have created at their home, their legacy gift to NWT will allow nature to thrive in Norfolk for future generations.
