Inspiring the future

We aim to inspire a love of wildlife in the next generation, supporting young people to explore our natural world through exciting hands-on activities.

Our fantastic Wilder Learning team work with a range of age groups to conduct visits to schools and youth groups, and host trips to our sites across Norfolk. From early years to higher education, children can experience anything from boat trips to foraging for fossils.

We also provide advice and resources for schools aiming to improve their grounds for wildlife, with many of the changes able to be made by pupils and linked to the curriculum, offering further wild learning experiences.

Wilder Schools is a project which aims to improve the wellbeing of school-age children by empowering them to connect with nature and wildlife. Spanning three years, our Wilder Schools programme provides nature-based sessions which are linked to the curriculum and enable children to learn how to care for wildlife in their school grounds.
