Become a Wildlife Guardian

Join a unique group of supporters and help Norfolk's nature thrive.

Our Wildlife Guardians are a unique group of Norfolk Wildlife Trust supporters who help to protect Norfolk’s nature by enabling our work through their generosity. As a Wildlife Guardian, you’ll enjoy a close and special relationship with Norfolk Wildlife Trust, with opportunities to see behind the scenes of our most vital work and to delve even deeper into the topic of the natural world and its conservation with our knowledgable staff.

Your chance to protect Norfolk’s unique landscape and history.
Norfolk is an amazing county, home to the magical Broads, ancient woodlands, saltmarshes, rare heathlands, and chalk rivers. However, Norfolk’s wild beauty is not immune to the ecological crises that face Great Britain, with one in six species threatened with extinction.*

Our mission is to create more space for nature to thrive. We do this by protecting and restoring Norfolk’s amazing wild places and joining these fragments of habitat for wildlife.

We cannot do this alone. In partnership with communities, organisations and landowners, we work together to restore lost habitats and preserve some of our most threatened species.

The passion and support of our Wildlife Guardians allows us to work towards the goal of a wilder Norfolk for both people and nature, with bigger, better, and more connected places for nature to thrive.

As a Wildlife Guardian, you’ll help us to:

  • Protect key species and habitats, managing our reserves as thriving places for nature.
  • Create a countywide network of connected natural spaces, contributing to The Wildlife Trusts' aim that 30% of the UK is managed for wildlife by 2030.
  • Work with landowners and land managers to advise and assist them in managing their space for wildlife.
  • Stand up for nature in local policy and planning decisions.
  • Empower people to take positive action for nature by sharing knowledge, skills and resources through our communications, events, and community work.
