About the event

You’ll learn some fascinating facts about this rare and elusive marshland bird. Listen out for the booming call of the male bittern as we near Bittern hide, as they try to attract a mate. Once at the hide we’ll see if we can catch a glimpse of this pale, buff-brown heron. Please bring binoculars if you have them. A limited number of pairs are available to hire at the visitor centre. (Walking will include some uneven ground, up to a distance of 2 miles.)
