Join us on a guided walk through the reserve before taking a magical boat trail on Hickling broad. Celebrate the arrival of spring and witness one of nature’s miracles, the dawn chorus. Please bring binoculars.  A light continental breakfast is included. (Water trail is 2 hours from 5am) Walk length approximately 2 miles

Enjoy free entry to the reserve, for every child and their accompanying adult, all day. We will also be offering free hands-on activities in our Education Centre. In these summer months , you can also  join us from 10:30am - 12:30pm and 1:30pm - 3:30pm as we hunt for freshwater beasties at our pond dipping platform.

Spring is a fantastic time of year for spotting reptiles and amphibians as they come out of hibernation and warm themselves in the sunshine. Join us to learn more about them and see which ones we can find!

Explore NWT Thorpe Marshes, in the Norfolk Broads, yet on the edge of Norwich in Thorpe St Andrew. It's a charming mix of grazed and ungrazed marshes, ditches and the open water of St Andrew's Broad. Join local naturalist, Chris Durdin, for a meander at Thorpe Marshes and discover the reserve's wildlife. Bring binoculars and a camera if you have them.

You will not believe the creatures that used to call Norfolk home! Come along and see the remains of some of the amazing beasts that were found here millions of years ago.

Once again we are rummaging in rockpools in search of life. Come along with sturdy shoes and keen eyes and help us carefully investigate the secrets of the seashore. If you don’t know a barnacle from a belemnite, the experts will be on hand to identify your finds.
