About the event
Yellow-horned poppy, sea campion, bird's foot trefoil, curled dock, buck's horn plantain. Amongst the flints of Cley's shingle ridge are many colourful wild flowers adapted to survive in an extraordinary windswept world of salt-spray, summer droughts, winter storms and shifting shingle. Explore this distinctive habitat and its plants with a walk along the edge of Norfolk. Join local naturalist and author David North for a 4km walk and learn to identify 15 wildflowers adapted to survive and thrive in this apparently hostile habitat.

Dogs
No dogs permitted on the reserve. Visitors with dogs can walk Beach Road, along the shingle bank (northern reserve boundary) and East bank.
As an event attendee, you will be eligible for free parking.

Events will take place in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe. Please ensure that you dress appropriately for the weather with suitable footwear. Please be advised to take caution when walking on a site with open water and ensure that you always remain on the designated paths. Biting insects can be present at certain times of the year and you may choose to apply insect repellent as a precaution. In warmer weather, you may wish to bring a hat, sun cream and water.
