About the event

Thompson Common is one of the most important sites in the county for dragonflies and damselflies, with many species regularly seen here. Join us as we explore the site to see which of these fascinating creatures we can find.

This event has been supported by the Brecks Fen Edge and Rivers Landscape Partnership Scheme and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Events will take place in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe. Please ensure that you dress appropriately for the weather with suitable footwear. Please be advised to take caution when walking on a site with open water and ensure that you always remain on the designated paths. Biting insects can be present at certain times of the year and you may choose to apply insect repellent as a precaution. In warmer weather, you may wish to bring a hat and water, and apply sun cream.
