PSH Environmental Ltd, based in Rackheath, Norwich, are proud to announce that they are working in partnership with Norfolk Wildlife Trust to restore woodland and biodiversity in Norfolk.
Over the coming three years, the Norfolk-based waste management company have pledged to donate £1 from every skip hired to re-introduce life to 12 acres of agricultural land adjacent to NWT Foxley Wood, found north-west of Norwich. The land has been a missing piece of this ancient wood for at least 1000 years.
The donations will result in an estimated £45,000 contribution to the conservation charity's work.
To the south west boundary of the wood is a 'U' shaped enclave, where historic woodland was felled for agricultural use many years ago. Norfolk Wildlife Trust has recently acquired this land and is planning a programme of natural and assisted regeneration for the enclave to become part of the ancient wood once more.
