About the event
Based on the local and natural history of her neighbourhood in Sheffield, Liz Hanks’ album
‘Land’ (Hudson Records) explores a forgotten natural world. The music draws on Liz’s influences: minimalism, folk, Indian classical music and improvisation. Inspired by reading written accounts of a lost valley she performs music with cello, field recordings and loop pedal alongside story telling to bring these forgotten places back to life.

‘Really intriguing’ - Mark Radcliffe (BBC Radio 2)
