About the event

In 2023 the UK government added The East Coast Flyway, the complex of wetlands between the Humber and The Thames that lie on the East Atlantic Flyway the superhighway for migratory waterbirds extending from Arctic Canada to Siberia, crossing western Europe and down to Africa, to the UK tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in recognition of its vital importance to bird populations and wildlife. This is an award only given to the most extraordinary natural places on the planet. The Norfolk coast and The Wash with their globally important bird populations are at the heart of this proposed Natural World Heritage Site, join Steve Rowland from the RSPB to learn more about what makes this such a special place.
