About the event

This introductory session will cover the basics of birdwatching – choice of optical equipment, fieldguides, apps, fieldcraft, sites in Norfolk and societies you might consider joining. We will also cover some more specialised aspects of birding, like sea and raptor watching.

No dogs permitted on the reserve. Visitors with dogs can walk Beach Road, along the shingle bank (northern reserve boundary) and East bank.

Please be advised to take caution when walking on a site with open water and ensure that you always remain on the designated paths. Biting insects can be present at certain times of the year and you may choose to apply insect repellent as a precaution. In warmer weather, you may wish to bring a hat, sun cream and water.
