About the event

Prehistoric burial mounds are found all over the British Isles, with more than 300 surviving in Norfolk alone. Each one has its own story to tell, from the burial of one person to many, from simple structures to elaborate timber circles. This illustrated talk by archaeologist David Robertson will explore different types of burial mounds and excavated evidence – and raise the possibility attendees might want to visit Norfolk’s largest prehistoric cemetery on nearby Salthouse Heath. Price includes a light lunch.
