Go wild this summer!

Go wild and discover Norfolk's wonderful wildlife with our summer nature challenge!

We've come up with six fun activities that will help your family make the most of spending summer in Norfolk and benefit our wonderful wildlife while you're doing so. If you submit a completed challenge you could be in with a chance of winning over £150 worth of wildlife prizes!

Most of the activities can be completed from home, at your local green space, or at a nature reserve. To complete the challenge you will need to take a trip to one of our visitor centres, where you can enjoy amazing wildlife, activities and events, refreshments, and more - all with free admission for children all summer!

You could be in with a chance of winning £110 of NWT vouchers and a hedgehog adoption

Simply submit a completed challenge leaflet, along with your details, to the form below or to a team member at one of our visitor centres. The deadline for entries is 12noon on Friday 10 October.  

To take part in our summer nature challenge, simply complete each activity - you can do this by downloading the challenge and printing it out, or by filling in one of our summer challenge leaflets. Write the date you complete each challenge in the circles, and be sure to get an NWT stamp from one of our team when you visit a visitor centre at Cley Marshes, Hickling Broad, or Ranworth Broad

We would LOVE to see photos of you completing your challenges - please feel free to tag us on social media or to send us photos and drawings when you submit your challenge leaflet.

What could I win?

The winner will receive £110 of Norfolk Wildlife Trust vouchers, which can be redeemed at our visitor centres in exchange for reserve entry, boat trips, and in our cafes or gift shops. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for membership to Norfolk Wildlife Trust, or parking at any of our visitor centres.

The winner will also receive a year-long hedgehog adoption. This includes a cuddly soft toy hedgehog, certificate, stickers, wildflower seeds, hedgehog information booklet, and bookmark. The adoption also includes regular email updates about nature in Norfolk and how your adoption contributes to our work to protect Norfolk's wildlife.

Who can enter?

Entrants to the prize draw need to be 18 or over. If you are under 18 and would like to enter the prize draw, you will need to ask a parent or guardian who is 18 or over to submit your completed nature challenge on your behalf.

If you are a parent or guardian of a young person who has completed a nature challenge and would like to enter the prize draw on their behalf, please include your full name and email address when using the online form to enter the draw or submitting a completed challenge at one of our visitor centres.

 

How can I enter the competition?

You can submit your child or family's completed challenge by uploading it to the summer nature challenge form or by visiting one of our visitor centres and speaking to a team member. Please make sure you leave your full name and email address with the completed challenge so we can contact you if you win.

The competition is free to enter.

When is the deadline to enter?

The deadline for submitting entries is 12noon on Friday 10 October 2025.

How is the winner of the competition decided?

The winner will be randomly drawn from all submitted challenges after the closing date of 12noon on Friday 10 October. We will contact the winner during the week commencing Monday 13 October to arrange delivery of the prizes.

Full terms and conditions

  1. This prize draw (the "Prize Draw") is open to people aged 18 and over who provide a completed challenge, full name, and email address. It is expected that the challenge will be completed by a young person and submitted on their behalf by a parent or guardian over the age of 18.  
  2. Entrants into the Prize Draw shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions. 
  3. Only one completed challenge may be entered per person.   
  4. Norfolk Wildlife Trust accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected, incomplete, or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry will not be considered as proof of receipt. 
  5. The closing date of the Prize Draw is the same as the closing date of the survey. Entries received outside this time period will not be considered. 
  6. One winner will be chosen from a random draw of completed challenges received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The draw will take place on Friday 10 October. 
  7. The winner will receive £110 of Norfolk Wildlife Trust vouchers and a hedgehog adoption pack, worth £42. 
  8. The winner will be notified by email within a month after the prize draw is held. If a winner does not respond to Norfolk Wildlife Trust within 14 days of being notified, then the winner's prize will be forfeited and Norfolk Wildlife Trust shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above (and that winner will have to respond to notification of their win within 14 days or else they will also forfeit their prize). If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these Terms and Conditions, the winner's prize will be forfeited and Norfolk Wildlife Trust shall be entitled to select another winner. 
  9. The prize will be sent to the winner by post. Norfolk Wildlife Trust will contact the winner to ask for their postal address. 
  10. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and is not redeemable for cash or other prizes. 
  11. Norfolk Wildlife Trust retains the right to substitute the prize with another prize of similar value in the event the original prize offered is not available. 
  12. Norfolk Wildlife Trust shall use and take care of any personal information you supply to it as described in our privacy policy and in accordance with data protection legislation. By entering the Prize Draw, you agree to the collection, retention, usage and distribution of your personal information in order to process and contact you about your entry. 
  13. The decision of Norfolk Wildlife Trust in all matters under its control is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. 
  14. The Prize Draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the Prize Draw submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
