About the event
Join us to celebrate Swallowtail Day! The swallowtail butterfly is one of Norfolk's rarest and most iconic species and is only found in the Broads.
Join one of our exclusive guided walks with NWT President Patrick Barkham, natural history writer for The Guardian and author of The Butterfly Isles, who will share his best butterflying tips and infectious love for these insects.
Walking distance could be up to 3km and over some uneven ground. Sturdy footwear is recommended.

Events will take place in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe. Please ensure that you dress appropriately for the weather with suitable footwear. Please be advised to take caution when walking on a site with open water and ensure that you always remain on the designated paths. Biting insects can be present at certain times of the year and you may choose to apply insect repellent as a precaution. In warmer weather, you may wish to bring a hat, sun cream and water.
