Aviva volunteering

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Norfolk Wildlife Trust!

This page is for teams of Aviva employees who are interested in volunteering with us.

We offer the opportunity to undertake varied outdoor practical management tasks on our network of nature reserves. Work will be outdoors, practical and will benefit nature and the environment.

The tasks we offer are suitable for all volunteers, new or experienced, and include fen cutting and raking, scrub clearance, pond creation, coppicing and removal of invasive non-native species.

Our volunteer days are led by a trained and experienced NWT staff member, who is first aid trained and experienced in leading volunteers. We provide all work tools and related safety equipment.

Further information

Suitable breaks will be taken during the day, including a lunch break which will usually be taken on site.

We can work with groups of up to 15 volunteers and larger groups by special arrangement – although this may vary depending on the task.

We are happy to discuss hosting teams of less than 8 people, and may suggest combining with another Aviva group on the same day.

We host volunteer work parties from July to February, with most opportunities available in autumn and winter.

Log your efforts

Your Aviva Sustainability Team wish to emphasise the importance of recording your volunteering leave on Workday. Aviva can then measure performance against target, and most importantly, your impact on NWT's work.

Don't know how to log your hours? Here's a handy guide to help.
