About the event
A guided walk on the beautiful sands of Holme beach with views out over the sea and across to Thornham Harbour, scouring the strandline for any signs of marine life! The strandline line can provide us with a wealth of information about species living off our coasts that we do not see on a regular basis. We will particularly be on the lookout for mermaid’s purses as well as any sponges or sea mats. Sturdy footwear recommended. Please meet at the Visitor Centre.

Know before you go
Dogs
Please observe signage on site and keep dogs under effective control or on a short lead to avoid disturbance to livestock and wildlife.
Dogs are welcome at Holme in the outside seating area of the visitor centre but we do not allow dogs into the café area.

Events will take place in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe. Please ensure that you dress appropriately for the weather with suitable footwear. Please be advised to take caution when walking on a site with open water and ensure that you always remain on the designated paths. Biting insects can be present at certain times of the year and you may choose to apply insect repellent as a precaution. In warmer weather, you may wish to bring sun cream, water and a sunhat.

Tickets are non-refundable unless the event or activity is cancelled by Norfolk Wildlife Trust.
In the event that Norfolk Wildlife Trust has to cancel an event or activity due to low numbers, extreme weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control, we will inform you at the earliest opportunity and will offer a full refund. Check our website for updates on our events.
