Summer visitors workshop
Cley and Salthouse Marshes,
Cley Marshes is on the north Norfolk coast, on the A149 coast road, 6km north of Holt. The visitor centre and car park are easily accessible on the landward side of the road. About the event
Led by local birder Trevor Williams, this workshop will introduce you to the birds that visit NWT Cley Marshes in the summer to breed. It will begin with a short presentation on the identification, migration and breeding habits of some of our regular summer visitors. We will then head off on to the reserve to look for birds, which might also include some early autumn migrants.
Know before you go
Dogs
No dogs permitted on the reserve. Visitors with dogs can walk Beach Road, along the shingle bank (northern reserve boundary) and East bank.
As an event attendee, you will be eligible for free parking.

Events will take place in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe. Please ensure that you dress appropriately for the weather with suitable footwear. Please be advised to take caution when walking on a site with open water and ensure that you always remain on the designated paths. Biting insects can be present at certain times of the year and you may choose to apply insect repellent as a precaution. In warmer weather, you may wish to bring a hat, sun cream and water.

In the event that Norfolk Wildlife Trust has to cancel an event or activity due to low numbers, extreme weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control, we will inform you at the earliest opportunity and will offer a full refund.
