Cley and Salthouse Marshes,

Cley Marshes is on the north Norfolk coast, on the A149 coast road, 6km north of Holt. The visitor centre and car park are easily accessible on the landward side of the road. Entrance is located directly across the A149 coast road from the car park. The Coasthopper bus service stops just outside the nature reserve., Holt, Norfolk, NR25 7SA

About the event

Join us for a longer walk exploring the less frequently visited parts of our reserve whilst taking in the wider Living Landscape and thinking about NWT Cley Marshes’ place within it. This walk offers a history of the landscape from the perspective of both the people and the wildlife which inhabit it. Please ensure you have suitable footwear (Walk length approximately 4.5 miles).

No dogs permitted

No dogs permitted on the reserve. Visitors with dogs can walk Beach Road, along the shingle bank (northern reserve boundary) and East bank.

Events will take place in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe. Please ensure that you dress appropriately for the weather with suitable footwear. Please be advised to take caution when walking on a site with open water and ensure that you always remain on the designated paths. Biting insects can be present at certain times of the year and you may choose to apply insect repellent as a precaution. In warmer weather, you may wish to bring a hat, sun cream and water.
