About the event

The great skeins of geese and flocks of wigeon are part of what makes the North Norfolk coast so special in winter.  Discover and learn about Cley's winter waterfowl.  This 5 km walk led by naturalist David North will include some walking on shingle.

No dogs permitted on the reserve. Visitors with dogs can walk Beach Road, along the shingle bank (northern reserve boundary) and East bank.

Events will take place in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe. Please ensure that you dress appropriately for the weather with suitable footwear. Please be advised to take caution when walking on a site with open water and ensure that you always remain on the designated paths. Biting insects can be present at certain times of the year and you may choose to apply insect repellent as a precaution. In warmer weather, you may wish to bring a hat, sun cream and water.
