About the event
Enjoy a guided walk around beautiful Buxton Heath with NWT volunteer Dawn, looking at this unusual and important habitat and seeing what plants and wildlife are about.
This is an informal walk aimed at people who don't have much knowledge of nature and wildlife but would like to learn more. If you have binoculars please do bring them along. Please also dress for the weather and wear shoes that you are comfortable walking in.
Meet at the Buxton Heath car park before setting off for the walk.
Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Events will take place in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe. Please ensure that you dress appropriately for the weather with suitable footwear. Please be advised to take caution when walking on a site with open water and ensure that you always remain on the designated paths. Biting insects can be present at certain times of the year and you may choose to apply insect repellent as a precaution. In warmer weather, you may wish to bring a hat, sun cream and water.
